Test your skills on your favorite Video Poker game. Enjoy Joker Wild Video Poker. ★★★ Features ★★★ ★ Simple and clean design. ★ Fast and easy game play. ★ Gamble your winnings.

The first step in the playing sequence is to put money in the Joker’s Wild video poker machine. When you play in a land based casino you insert cash or a cash out slip you receive from another machine where you were playing. When you play online you make a deposit into the online casino and your balance loads when you open the game.

Now choose to bet five coins per hand. It might be tempting to bet fewer coins, but when you do it means you can’t win the bonus amount for a natural royal flush. If you don’t want to bet as much, find a machine offering a lower per coin amount.

A dollar machine has a maximum wager of $5 per hand. A quarter machine has a maximum wager of $1.25 per hand. A nickel machine has a maximum wager of 25 cents per hand.

Next you hit the deal button. Then decide which cards you want to keep, click on them, and then hit the deal button again.

Winning hands have the payout amount added to your balance. To play another hand hit the deal button again.

Joker’s Wild Pay Tables

As we mentioned in the opening, you can find many different pay tables on Joker’s Wild or Joker poker machines. Here’s a table that lists many popular pay tables, but there are more available.

We’ve included the house edge for each machine at the bottom of the table. The listed Jokers Wild house edge is only achieved by using a strategy chart. We’ve included a strategy chart for your use in the next section.

The machine offering the lowest house edge is a 10 / 6 two pair machine, but they’re rare. Most Jokers’ Wild video poker machines have a house edge of over 1%.

When you compare the pay tables listed below with the machine you’re considering playing, the payouts listed match the ones in the one coin column except for the natural royal flush. The payouts for a natural royal flush listed below are the per coin amount for a five coin wager.

The machine has a payout listed of either 4,000 or 5,000 coins for a five coin bet on a natural royal flush.

This page provides what I believe to be the absolute best strategy for playing Joker Wild video poker. By using the strategy listed on this page you can achieve a payout percentage of 100.64% at a full pay Joker Wild game. Make sure to remember that this strategy was devised for full pay Joker Wild games, which use the following pay table:

The pay table above assumes that you're betting five coins per hand. If you bet less than five coins per hand the natural royal flush will pay out less, and your return will go down. Also, if you're playing a different Joker Wild pay table this strategy will be good, but not perfect.

Expert Joker Wild Strategy

Here is how you should use the chart below:

Jokers Wild Poker Game

  1. Choose the proper chart depending on if you have 0 Jokers or 1 Joker
  2. Start at the top of the chart and work down.
  3. When you see a hand that matches up with yours, follow that strategy.

Example: Imagine you have Ac-Kc-Kh-8c-2c. In this case, you'd match up with a few rows on the table below. Your hand would qualify for a high pair of Kings, an AK suited with one penalty (the other King is a penalty card), and four to a flush. However, on the table you'll notice that a pair of Kings is higher than AK suited or a four flush, so you should keep the Kings and ditch the other three cards.

*Penalty cards are any cards which you plan to discard that hurt your chances of completing a draw. For example, if you have 7c-9c-Jc-8s-5h and plan to keep the 7c-9c-Jc, the 8s that you're discarding actually hurts you because there is one less card in the deck that completes your straight. However, it still makes sense to discard the 8s because you have better expected return going for the straight flush than to draw to the inside straight.

Straight (St.) penalty cards mean cards that interfere w/ a hand's possibility of making a straight. Flush penalty cards mean cards that interfere w/ a hand's possibility of making a flush. High Pair (HP) penalty cards mean cards that interfere w/ a hand's possibility of making a high pair (a pair Jacks or better).
