The Cheltenham Gold Cup. National hunts blue ribbon race is held at Cheltenham racecourse over 3 miles 2 furlongs. The Champion Hurdle.
The Grand National Steeplechase Association is currently planning to run the 118th rendition of its race meet on April 17, 2021, with limited spectators. The Race Committee expects that State of Maryland and Baltimore County regulations related to COVID-19 may change approaching the race date. As such, all communication concerning ticket availability, attendance and race terms and conditions is subject to change. Further updates will be posted on the race website as more information becomes available. Tiger Roll, who won the Randox Grand National in 2017 and 2018 has become the modern-day hero, being the only horse to have won two consecutive Grand National races after racing legend, Red Rum. Grand National Steeplecase The Grand National Steeplechase Association is currently planning to run the 118th rendition of its race meet on April 17, 2021, with limited spectators. The Race Committee expects that State of Maryland and Baltimore County regulations related to COVID-19 may change approaching the race date. The Grand National is a handicap horse race, the horses carry diverse weights allocated by the handicapper. The horses are required to jump varied fences and ditch obstacles over 4 miles 3 ½ furlongs (7,141 m) with horses jumping 30 fences over two circuits.
